Realizing that Diana was an enemy spy, a man has her tied up and has to figure out what to do with her, so he left her as he went to contact his agency. To make sure she couldn't holler for help while he was away, the man stuffed and taped a gag in her mouth to muffle her. Diana knew that if she didn't get away that she was in some big trouble.
