Because you're so tiny you have the job of hopping in between my teeth cleaning out bits and pieces of clothes and bones and other debris that ends up in my mouth. I offer you room and board by which I mean you can live in any corner of my mouth, and you may eat some of my food scraps... just don't eat too much or get too close to my teeth or I will chomp you. You will also get the job of cleaning behind my tonsils and hanging down from my uvula to really get those hard-to-reach places. But beware not to fall down into the abyss that is my throat, because I do not offer rescue services. Do all these things and we will have a perfectly symbiotic relationship.

I ask you to perform your first task which is getting something out from behind my molars in the back of my mouth. Of course, you happily hop inside my mouth, but you can't seem to find anything there. I assure you there is something there, but you need to go deeper. You start walking further into the back of my mouth when all of a sudden everything goes black and I gulp you down whole in an instant.
Hahahahaha! I guess I need to find another mouth slave all over again!
