Candle is getting ready for a big date with her boyfriend. She does not realize that a vampire (POV) is watching her from her closet while she primps and poses in front of the mirror. He admires her form as she pretends to see what her boyfriend will be doing with her later in the evening. Just as she finishes putting on her dress, her boyfriend calls with some bad news. It looks like he will have to work late tonight. Unfortunately, Candle does not take the news well and slams the phone on the bed.
