Sage asks him to get the boss to come in so she can talk to him in person. Scott takes out his phone and waits for the boss to call or text that he wants her to be let go. But there are no calls or texts.

Since the boss is not calling her, Scott can continue with his job. He asks her again if she can repay the loan. She says not right now. That is exactly what Scott wanted to hear.
