I am on the phone with my friends making plans for going out, when suddenly I roll my ankle and scream in pain. Oh no! I promised myself I wouldn't get hurt again! I rub my ankle and move my foot back and forth. It feels better quickly, so I walk around to test it out. It feels good and I am relieved. However, when I hop on the couch, I accidently bank my ankle against the couch and hurt it again. Ahhhh! I rub my ankle some more and then try to walk on it. It's good, so I put on my tallest pair of heels. They look fabulous and I can't wait to go dancing. My phone rings, so run to get it and I end up tripping and rolling my ankle again. I scream out in pain as I fall to the ground. Not again!!! I rub my ankle and move my foot around. It hurts more this time, but I am not giving up my dance night. I try on a smaller pair of heels, but I roll my ankle again in these shoes. The pain gets worse and worse and my ankle is now swollen. I put pantyhose on hoping that they will keep my ankle tight and keep the swelling down. Then I put on my smallest pair of heels. However, my ankle is too swollen to wear them. I have no choice but to wear my flat ballet shoes. I put them on and am ready to go dancing, but I fall again and sprain my ankle real good this time. I take the pantyhose off and put ice on my ankle. I rub it while I cry about how much it hurts and how sad I am that my night is ruined. I'm not going dancing now. I'm not going anywhere for a long time. My ankle is sprained and I am in too much pain to stand now. I'm going to need crutches if I go anywhere. I sit and rub my ankle while I cry about the pain and not being able to go out.
