I'm so distraught, I don't even notice the engine cutting out while I try to call my friend. She's just sent me a photo of my husband that I could only vision in a nightmare and now nobody is taking my calls.
I try to put the car into gear and drive away, then realise the engine isn't running.
Everything seems to be going wrong at once. Already beside myself, matters only get worse as time goes by and even my car betrays me.
