Courtney is investigating the origins of a mysterious piece of vine. She got a tip that the strange plant's source might have come from a small forested area out in the country. Sure enough, she notices a similar-looking vine protruding from the nearby trees. When she follows the longer piece of vine to its origin, that's when The Plant startles her.
