I used a leather strap (with a piece of spring steel inside) that I had bought recently, while sitting on his back as well as standing beside him. After a rather light strapping I rubbed his sore bottom with some lotion, slowly and gently to relieve some of the sting and make him feel a little better before whats next to come.
