There is always something exciting about two brilliant wrestlers with contrasting styles clashing at an MWC live event - and we were not disappointed with this one!
Inferno - making her big comeback after a broken leg - had kicked off the show in her first match and was looking fit and raring to go at it again.
Phoenix herself had come through an energy sapping contest versus Axa and looked ready to make an impression once again.
With the ingredients all in place, both of these beauties cooked up a fabulous treat. Phoenix looking to use her power and technique and Inferno using skilful guile, speed and flexibility.
After an intense start, Phoenix got herself in the dominant position first and then got on the scoresheet with a headlock that gave Inferno no option but to tap out to.
However, although she has been out of action for some time, Inferno has lost none of her agility and in-ring know how. And of course, there is that brilliant and mind-boggling flexibility! She levelled the scores with a guillotine.
The bar was set high and we were treated to some highly intense attacking wrestling and technical brilliance from both fighters.
Phoenix got her nose in front once more when she locked those powerful arms around Inferno’s throat.
But back came Inferno once more with an expertly reverse head scissor bringing them all square once again.
Despite the intensity and some truly punishing moves, the match was wrestled in a wonderful spirit with both girls having as much fun joking around as they did inflicting pain on one another!
Ultimately, wrestling is serious business though and it was clear that both of these two stubborn fighters were always reluctant to tap unless they were left with no alternative!
