Today there is supposed to be a big camp-wide bike ride! First, the bikes and all of the bike locks need to be taken out of storage. Counselor Wynter asks you to take some bikes down from wall racks... you coyly admit that you cannot reach them... She is flippant, she doesn't believe that you can't reach it. As a tall person, she never has really considered what someone who is... vertically challenged cannot do. She's flabbergasted really.. Her shock quickly fades into concern (and some laughter)-- what if something was to happen to you here at camp?! You are SO short! You could be so easil...

As a tall person, she never has really considered what someone who is... vertically challenged cannot do. She's flabbergasted really.. So many things could happen to you out here in camp.. Maybe there should be height requirements for campers?! You could really get injured on a hike, or stepped on if you fell at the all camp campfire! You are just so tiny! She continues to go on and on about your height, while you blush and shrink from all the humiliation. She even talks to other counselors about it, and in front of all the other campers! The lead counselor calls her to discuss your height and the liability it brings!! It's determined that you can't be in the storage shed, that you must ride on counselor's shoulders at big activities- even on hikes! Right now, you need to go to arts and crafts-- where it's nice and safe for a short guy like you!
