"Heat" is a parody, Joey is an unemployed actor, uses sex to persuade his landlady, Lydia, to reduce her rent, and then tries to exert her influence on Sally Todd, who is now exhausted and not. it was not even more than slightly important at the height of his career. Sally tries to help Joey, until she realizes that she doesn't have enough contacts to be useful to him.
