The Saturn-Film production house was the first Austrian film production company, founded by the photographer Johann Schwarzer in Vienna and was active from 1906 until 1911.
The company specialized in the production of erotic-pornographic shorts that were distributed internationally through the company's catalog.
In 1911, following complaints from all over the world, the police seized the headquarters of Saturn and destroyed much of its catalog which consisted of about fifty films.
