A cool theme could be that every night you turn into a werewolf /monster at night, and you're supposed to lock yourself in or else you'll eat people - but you forget to one night, so you wake up in your sons room, with your clothes all ripped (if you don't have ripped clothes then just underwear would work). Your belly is huge and moving around, and you seem confused and concerned at first. You look around briefly for your step-son before realizing he's in your belly - you swallowed him whole. You feel him struggling around (twitching your belly a bit) and are a bit upset at first, but ultimately you're satisfied and secretly happy you got such a good meal. You try to comfort him and tell him you've eaten before and it's not a big deal, they digest very easily. You could reference that you'll be letting him out in a couple days, but it will be after he's fully digested and in the toilet.
