Lucia is driving even though her left leg in in a full cast and its hard to shift in her seat. She is discussing going out that night with her friend and trying to figure out what she'll wear on her exposed toes. He friend suggests a bright red sock because her own experience is that people are clumsy and step on casted vulnerable toes. Lucia parks the car as close to her place as possible on the other side of the park. This means she and her friend must crutch through the park to get to her place. Lucia struggles on her crutches even with her friends help, but it's really cold and her exposed toes are freezing! She has to stop at a bench to rest and wiggles her toes to keep them warm. She props her casted leg up on the bench and her friend grabs at her toes and exclaims in surprise how cold they are! She offers to give Lucia a soothing massage with her warm hands and asks if she likes it. She does! She asks if Lucia has brought a sock to protect her toes but unfortunately she has not. They continue to talk about her casted foot and exposed toes and how she deals with the snow and cold weather. As her friend finishes up massaging her pretty toes they continue crutching to her apartment to prepare for the night's fun.
