Cruickshank has successfully persuaded handsome Robinson to transfer his affections to her. Prefect Thompson is more than irritated and tries to warn her off. But Cruickshank is defiant. Thompson is now furious and goes off to see head prefect Cordwainer with a trumped up crime. Cordwainer gives Cruickshank eight of the best without investigating the alleged crime. However Robinson complains to the house master about the two prefects actions. Furious, he in turn gives both prefects the same punishment that they inflicted on Cruickshank. (CA56)
