In 1967, many top private schools in the UK were admitting girls into their sixth forms. This was a new experience for many of them as they were now subject to stricter regimes enforced by the liberal application of the cane. Here we reenact the diary entries of one young lady, played by Nikki Montford. Being rather lazy and prone to practical jokes, she wound up receiving six of the best from her house master four times during 1967. The cane was applied to her bottom with considerable thoroughness then as it is in these reenactments. (CA23)
