When Dr Aimes paddled Ellen and Hermione that morning, he assumed that their failure to submit their essays was due to laziness. When he finds out that they were involved in the ragweek stunt to hold the principal to ransom, he is furious. He summons the girls back to his room and tells them in no uncertain terms that he is not pleased with their behaviour.
