After breaking her leg and gimping around for a few weeks, someone drops a grocery bag on her big toe while on public transit. Now she is gimping around the city with her big toe in a spica attached to her cast. She won't take mass transit because she is afraid of more broken toes. So must gimp around in public to get where she wants to go. The problem is her big toe hurts, stiff in its plaster prison and the plaster toe spica irritates her other toes.
