So now poor Yvette is sporting a bandaged big toe as well as a leg cast as she gimps around the city with the help of crutches to limit the wear and tear on her battered tootsie. She's out to meet her friend and is relieved when her friend offers to let her prop up her leg and put it over her knee on the public bench they are on. Yvette is already used to passerby's staring. What she can do without however is her curious friend's need to finger her bruised and bandaged digit while checking out her other exposed toes. Yvette decides they should walk a bit in an attempt to get her friends hands off her exposed foot. But after a short time Yvette needs to rest her foot again. She decided to part with her friend and crutch on home trying to ignore the stares from passerbys as she slowly and painfully makes her way back.
