So George had the distinct feeling that he needed real punishment for his offences so he wrote to Dr. Blake confessing the circumstances, admitting his guilt and asking the Dr. to punish him.

Dr. Blake, not being involved in the original judgement, was able to objectively and dispassionately, deliver a severe thrashing using straps, paddles and finally, his most severe canes.

George's yells and cries are ignored and the Dr. carries out the full punishment which, though George had agreed to, he said afterwards he hadn't expected it to hurt quite so much, but he had certainly deserved it. Now felt he could get on with his life and was fortunate enough to find an even better job, which he made sure to keep.
