I have such a pretty manicure, it would be a shame to ruin it.
So I slip into a pair of latex gloves, ooh listen to that snapping noise! Of course I shine them up with some lube, because what's the point of latex if it isn't shiny?
Oh but my lovely manicure is also very sharp, and my pointed, stiletto claws make very short work of this pair of gloves!
