(English) By the time Beatrice hobbles into the orthopedist's office she's already in bad shape. She is wearing a med short arm cast from a snow boarding accident and in addition the pain on the ball of her foot has made it impossibly uncomfortable to wear anything but a flip flop on her bad left foot. At the doctor's office she meets Kiara wearing one cute high heeled boot and... a half-shoe with her naked toes and sole sticking out of the front. (English) By the time Beatrice hobbles into the orthopedist's office she's already in bad shape. She is wearing a med short arm cast from a snow boarding accident and in addition the pain on the ball of her foot has made it impossibly uncomfortable to wear anything but a flip flop on her bad left foot. At the doctor's office she meets Kiara wearing one cute high heeled boot and... a half-shoe with her naked toes and sole sticking out of the front. In conversation, she understands Kiara has a similar issue with the bottom of the ball of her foot, and as a result the doctor has prescribed this half-shoe to take the pressure off. She also learns that poor Kiara has been wearing it for 8 months! She goes out, to work, everywhere with the half shoe and her half naked foot and wiggling toes and says she has no choice but to be used to it. Beatrice wants a closer look at the shoe handling Kiara's naked foot as she tells her she has the same problem. Now she's worried she'll be wearing a half shoe for month's too! Kiara tries to reassure her, but when the doctor calls Beatrice in and she gimps out, now she's got a half shoe on her left foot! So now as each of them compare their partial footwear they realize they can both go out and share one pair of shoes and a pedicure. After Kiara goes in to begs about a prettier looking half shoe she comes out discouraged. Both she and Beatrice are now stuck with this footwear for the foreseeable future. So they leave together getting a comfort soda, navigating stairs and then stepping out in public with their mismatched shoes and half-naked feet. Throughout this whole clip their are lots of great closeups and wiggling naked toes both at rest and walking around.
