Angelina is an administrative clerk in the hospital. She finishes her shift and gets into the elevator. She is actually queasy and quite claustrophobic about elevators but they are doing work in the stairwells and she tells herself it is only a couple of floors down to avoid the work and then she can walk the rest of the way down. Unfortunately, only a few seconds after she boards it, the elevator abruptly stops! Fear immediately sets in as poor Angelina's surroundings begin to close in on her. She is getting more panicky by the second. She tries desperately to push all the buttons, but with no positive result. A panic attack sets in and she begins gasping for air. She feels totally alone and abandoned with nobody realizing the elevator has a problem! Soon she is completely out of breath from hyperventilating on the floor of the elevator. Meanwhile a hospital outpatient has just finished her exam and buzzes for the elevator. She realizes there is a problem and pushes the button again. Soon the elevator arrives on the floor. When the doors open, she notices Angelina in the elevator and quickly calls for help! A nurse arrives and realizes Angelina is no longer breathing. So they quickly put her into a wheelchair and run her into an ER. In the ER they check her vitals and there is obviously a problem. They start CPR immediately and cut off Angelina's t-shirt and bra. The head nurse performs CPR with deep and strong chest compressions while the other nurse places the ECG electrodes on Angelina. They perform may cycles of CPR and ambu bagging, then charge the defibrillator, but unfortunately there is no response following the round. They use green 3M pads for paddles, continue the CPR and realize they must intubate her. Following the intubation procedure the resus continues with many cycles of CPR-defibrillations and bagging. Finally patient Angelina's pulse returns to normal, but the hospital worker has now turned patient, and she must remain in the hospital for more exams.
