The med team starts the resus procedure with CPR. The defibrillator charges and following the shock the patient’s pulse returns. The med team quickly finishes the operation. Everything looks ok but when they extubate her she doesn’t start breathing on her own. The doctor starts ambu bagging her but in the next minute her heart flat lines again. The team starts the resus procedure again with CPR, ambu bagging and more defib shocks but there is no responses. They must perform a few more cycles until finally the patient’s pulse returns and looks stable. She is ready for transport to the ICU.
