Ginger is in the OR being prepped for abdominal surgery. The surgery team preps her, removes her hospital gown and hooks her up to heart monitor while putting a bouffant cap onto her head. They also place stockings on her legs to avoid thrombosis. The doctor places the black mask on her face and she starts breathing and counting backwards. They intubate her with a standard ET tube, tape the tube and her eyes, and then hook her up to a respirator. The surgery team also inserts a catheter.
