When everything is prepped, they place the mask onto her face and the nurse instructs her to count backwards. The med team checks her airways with a laryngoscope and inserts an LMA. The medical team starts resus immediately. They perform CPR with deep and strong chest compressions and bag her thru the LMA. The defibrillator is charged but there is no response following the first round. The medical team continues the resus procedure with many cycles of CPR, bagging and defibrillations. At last the patient's pulse returns to normal, she is stable but continuing surgery is too risky. The med team agrees they must re-schedule the surgery. They extubate her, than place an O2 mask on.
