Following a few cycles the defibrillator is charged but there is no response after the first shock. The med team continues the resus procedure with many more cycles of deep and strong chest compressions CPR, ambu bagging and defibrillations, but the action is not successful. They place a CPR board under her back and intubate her, then continue the resus procedure. Following a few more cycles the patient's pulse returns.
