It is new hospital administrator Kyra's first day in office and she has a mandate to cut costs and let the lower quality staff go. Many know of her but haven't met her yet. However, as she does some paperwork at her desk, one of the nurses most [appropriately] concerned about her job sneaks up from behind, and puts Kyra to rest. Soon the evil nurse takes off Kyra's clothes and puts a bouffant cap onto her head. Now Kyra is placed on a gurney and rolled into the hallway beside of another female patient who is awaiting an open heart surgery! The evil nurse switch their papers and leaves with the heart surgery patient leaving poor Kyra as the unhappy stand in for the real heart surgery patient! Soon the surgery team arrives read Kyras false papers, and roll her into the OR. In the OR the medical team starts to prep her for the surgery. Kyra tries to speak but she is still too woozy, and her words uncomprehendable. The med team informs her of the heart surgery, and Kyra tries to say NO, Stop! Very softly but her pleas falls on deaf ears because the med team doesnt know her real identity. As she drifts off to rest The med team preps the LMA (detailed shots) and insert it into her throat. They tape her eyes too and the surgery begins. Just before Dr.Nicky starts to enter her heart, another Dr. comes in loudly warns the surgery team, Kyra is not the correct patient, but the new hospital administrator whose been swapped! Everybody is aghast as they start to close Kyra up. However, Kyras heart goes to Vfib. The defibrillator is charged but there is no response following the first shock. The medical team starts the with very deep and strong chest compressions! They must revive their new colleague and gte to the botom of who swapped patients! They require more cycles of CPR and defibrilations but finally Kyras pulse returns. They extubate her and places an O2 mask onto her face. The team wheels her down the hallway back into the recovery room.In the recovery room Kyra slowly awakens as the team monitors her. They explain to her what happened in the OR and that shes been switched out with another patient. Kyra starts to cry under her O2 mask at how close a call she had!
