They remove Lia's gown and start CPR and ambu bagging immediately. The defibrillator is charged but there is no response following the shock. They place a CPR board under her back and continue the dramatic resus action on the patient. Her girlfriend is very nervous as she watches on the side. Following many cycles of unsuccessful action Gloria touches Lia's leg and calls out to her again. She doesn't realize the defibrillator paddles are on and te Dr. Angel is in the midst of performing the shock. Gloria is also shocked and starts gasping for air.
