Vera is in the ICU following her SVT in the office. She is hooked up to a heart monitor with nasal cannula inserted and BP cuff placed. She is covered with a blanket and suddenly her heart rate starts running, and she gasps for air. The med team arrives and checks her vitals. They immediately deploy a cardioversion treatment using the manual defibrillator with gel. There is no responses following the first round but it is a lot of discomfort. She is covered with a blanket and suddenly her heart rate starts running, and she gasps for air. The med team arrives and checks her vitals. They immediately deploy a cardioversion treatment using the manual defibrillator with gel. There is no responses following the first round but it is a lot of discomfort. They place a CPR board under her back and continue the resus procedure with bagging, CPR and defibrillations. They must performs a few more cycles until patient’s pulse stabilizes. They place an O2 mask onto her face, she gasps but looks stable.
