Following some cycles of this the patient's pulse returns but it is very weak and her breathing is labored and shallow. As the med team tries to revive her her heart goes into full cardiac arrest. The medical team starts the resuscitation again and preps her for intubation. After the intubation procedure the medical team tries everything to save this pretty young patient. They perform a lot of AED shocks and many cycles of CPR with strong chest compressions. They realize this patient must go to the hospital very quickly to flush the beta-blocker out of her system. They must continue CPR on the way to the hospital, and prepare the LUCAS CHEST COMPRESSION SYSTEM to use on the patient. The nurses prep the machine, place the back plate under Zazie's back and lock the support legs. After connecting the air hose to the O2 bottle the nurses starts the machine. The chest compressions start and the med team preps the patient's for transport to hospital. Before they place her onto the stretcher, they perform more AED shocks while the LUCAS is still placed. There is no response following the shock, and the nurse restarts the machine's compression as they prep the patient for transport.
