Her shoes should be casual too such as Keds style sneakers. She is carrying a purse and a suitcase.

The Scenario:

The thought behind this video is Jane is trying to escape a bad relationship. Quite upset, she doesn’t want a confrontation, just to get out of there with her young person before her boyfriend/husband gets home from work. As she hurriedly tries to leave, her Volvo won’t start. This would be filmed as a POV of the young person.
Camera Angles, Action The camera will be the POV of her young person and after following her to the car, it will be in the back seat and then front seat. Although it is mostly from the POV of an innocent young person, you know I will want some bouncing thigh shots just for me and not directly related to the script. Jane is a great pumper so she can just do her thing but with full leg pumping (no ankle pumping) and some holding to the floor mixed in. I do want her to pump the pedal pretty firmly so if there is a fear of breaking the Volvo’s pedal, let’s use the Coronet. Please be sure the seat is adjusted up pretty far so she can comfortably reach the pedals without stretching for good leg pumping action (natural though, please don’t exaggerate).
I would like longer cranking attempts but I will space them out more than usual so she doesn’t fry the starter or drain the battery – I’ve put some pauses in the script. A good reference would be when Brooke was trying to start the Monte to get away from the creeper van towards the end of Custom 1022. Those were good length cranks with great pumping and holding (although it doesn’t have to be that frantic in this video until the end). I have some dialogue in here but you know I don’t get hung up on exact wording, as long as we get the general idea.
Script Filming begins with the camera as the young person following Jane in the driveway as she hurries towards the car. She is carrying her purse and carrying (or rolling) a suitcase. She opens the back door of the Volvo and encourages her young person(the camera) to quickly get in – which you do – and scoot to the middle as she quickly puts the suitcase on the backseat as well. She closes the door and quickly gets behind the wheel. The camera is now filming from the back seat from the POV of the young person(but where we can see all of her legs and feet) as she fishes her keys out of her purse and begins trying and start the car. She tries 2 or 3 times back to back with fairly long cranking attempts pumping and flooring the pedal but it isn’t even acting like it is going to start. She is trying to get out of there so there should be only brief pauses in between starting attempts.
She pauses for a moment as if her young person asks where they are going and she tries to sound reassuring as she turns and says nervously trying to smile: “We are going to grandmas for a little while”. Then she goes back to trying to start the car, quietly pleading with it as she fights back tears. Although she is quietly begging, she is pumping and holding the pedal with urgency, in a firm and fast rhythm.
She tries 2 or 3 more lengthy cranking attempts still pumping and holding. Still the car is not even trying to start. The camera is getting full body shots from the back seat and leaning up to get some bouncing thigh shots. I don’t want any foot closeups.
About halfway through the time, she stops and digs in her purse for her phone. She realizes in hurrying to leave that she left it inside the house which upsets her almost to tears, and seeing her that way, upsets her young person. She says not to be upset that it will be OK and that she will be right back. She tells them to move into the front seat to be closer to her if that makes them feel better. The camera films Jane as she gets out and hurries back towards the house. The camera fades out (not filming her all the way to the house – just so we get the sense).
The camera fades back in now filming from in the front seat as she is hurrying, almost running, back to the car. She gets in and looks at her phone. It is not working because she forgot to charge it. She can’t believe it. She goes back to trying to start the car with long cranking, pumping and holding, and quiet, tearful begging. Still, not even a shudder from the engine. The camera should be fairly stationary getting mostly full body shots but then occasionally getting some bouncing thigh shots and then back for more full body shots, etc.
After 2 or 3 long attempts with no sign of starting, she pauses again and tells her young person that step-mommy’s car just needs to rest and then it should start. She sits nervously for a few moments, holding out to wait as long as she can. She then tries again and miraculously the car starts (if there is a little flooded cranking naturally that would be great but if not, no worries, don’t push it). Jane is almost giddy that it starts and quickly heads down to the end of the driveway where the car stalls. “No, no. no no,” she begs as the car rolls to a stop.
She quickly tries to start it again. After two frantic attempts at the end of the driveway, she looks up and sees her husband’s car coming down the road. She now panics because he is not supposed to be home this early in the day and she wants to be out of there without explaining herself. The last 20-30 seconds or so she is in full on panicked, tearful desperation as she tries to restart the car. The camera fades out.
