The patient was a 20-something year old female with a suspected overdose, who arrived by ambulance in status epilepticus. The code blue was called when she suddenly went into an extreme tonic seizure, with possible decerebrate posturing. Her clothes were cut off of her with surgical sheers to give the team better access to her body. She could not be intubated due to seizure activity, so she was bag-mask ventilated on room air.
