After a while, the step-daughter, over-stresses, also codes. One of the EMT's works on her while the other EMT works on the step-mother.

The girl and her step-mother are worked on for a while when they make the call that the step-mother cannot be saved and they concentrate solely on her young step-daughter. They work on her, finally using the defibrillator. After several attempts they get her back.

She realized her step-mother is still not responded and starts to panic again. The EMT's assure her that they will do there best for her step-mom. They attach the defibrillator to her and get started as her step-daughter watches in hope and fear.
