At first, she is simply frustrated, angry to be caught in this trap. She desperately needs to win for the money, but as she sinks ever further, her anger turns to worry and then to fear. Evelle struggles to get free and even manages to pull out a bit, but the quicksand has a tight grip. Deeper & deeper she sinks. Arms reach for anything to grab onto. Unable to pull herself free, Evelle submerges to her doom.
