Still reeling from her earlier defeat, Lady Liberty is allowed to be untied from her lasso but the golden lariat is savagely snatched away from her grasp before she can replace it on her belt. Ordered by the villains to remove her own sexy red boots so she can't run away, the weakened crimefighter scowls as she slowly removes her fabulous footwear and drops the 5" stiletto-heeled boots onto the floor.

Given a powerful psychiatric injection of ketamine, thorazine, and adrenaline inhibitors leaves Lady Liberty in an confused twilight-state of existence, where her conscious mind is not quite put to rest but hovers on the very edge of reason and intuition. A small dose of truth serum allows Doctor Minerva to question Lady Liberty further, although as Lady Liberty the have far less of an effect on her then when they did as Diana Prince. After being questioned as to the source of her superhuman strength and if she can be defeated by certain Faustaesque methods (a way of dealing with amazons that was very popular in WWII) Lady Liberty is soon dispatched by Minerva with quick aplomb, the superheroine crying and whimpering all the way down to her inevitable defeat.

Hours later, Lady Liberty recovers on the examination bench (still relaxed to a certain degree) and Dr. Minerva decides that it would be best if Lady Liberty's star-spangled costume were to be removed for safekeeping. As Minerva starts tugging it off, Lady Liberty reacts as best she can and tries to fend off the pawing hands of the devious doctor in her doped-up state. Realizing Lady Liberty is too strong as an amazon to be stopped, Minerva calls for her henchman's help and between the two of them they manage to grapple Lady Liberty and pull her belt off from around her dainty waistline in the confusion. This weakens Diana enough that they get her back onto the medical table and start slipping a straitjacket onto her. Unable to break free, Lady Liberty twists and turns but escape is all but impossible, It's at this point in the story that the two super-criminals come up with a foolproof idea to get rid of Lady Liberty *and* Diana Prince once and for all, but what is it?
