This week we are talking about the way sefl care and indulgences are not inherently selfish in the way we understand that word to mean. We talk about some of the toxic ideals we have been trained to believe around caring for yourself, boundary drawing, and believing that minimalism is godliness. There's no shame in wanting to have nice things and having things that make you happy even if they are not productive things. For some people, indulgence is a special snack food, whereas for others it's making morning or evening time to reflect on yourself, a particular game that helps you wind down after work, or even starting a new lifestyle in order to feel more positive. There are many ways to create a life we wnjoy that is not minimalist, taking away little pleasures. I even share my own expereinces with this and build a deeper connection with you. There is no reason to deny ourselves the indulgences and happiness of life if it does not inherenrly negatively imoact the rest of the world around us. We talk through allowing ourselves rest, indulgences, and creating a happy life without judging ourselves for what that looks like. Through creating a happy life and safe space for you, it will allow you to find deeper self worth and a better overall outlook.
