Taking a step, I fall to the ground and have immediate ankle pain. Gingerly standing, I immediately fall again when weight is applied to the swollen ankle. Not wanting to take my new shoes off, I'm determined to do high heel hopping to get an elastic bandage to reduce swelling. My endeavors may have been lofty and I gingerly hold my sore ankle between stair hopping in heels. The impact of jumping in heels makes my good leg sore and I whimper in agony.

After getting the ankle wrapping, the hops down stairs are slow with a lot of grunting. The good foot almost bends the stiletto heel in half from the impact. I can't have two broken ankles, but have to get down multiple sets of stairs.

Finally in my room, I stumble into the chair and put the compression wrap around my hurt ankle. Removing the heel, I slowly wrap my hurt leg. My swollen foot makes it harder to put on the red shoe, but I jam it on. Standing leads to another fall and with Bambi legs, I awkwardly get into the chair.

In one shoe, I've learned that vanity sucks!
