Well I've now completely caught myself up guys; this happened TODAY. And what a day its been!
As You will all probably now be aware, my car generally gives me trouble if I leave it standing for a period of time, usually 3+ days. Since I have the choice of going into the office or work from home I can usually achieve this easily. Today however was a departure from the norm; I was down at a business meeting outside Oxford. I should have known it was going to be a bad day when I arrived and couldn't find anywhere to park; Oxford is quite a run for Me so I got there later than I wanted...
I should have known it was going to be a bad day when I arrived and couldn't find anywhere to park; Oxford is quite a run for Me so I got there later than I wanted. I had to park my car on waste ground adjacent to the car park and it was left there all day. However on returning to it at 4pm to head home, it wouldn't start. This hasn't happened before; I don't know if it is the same problem or not. If it is then it has become very much worse! :-( I tried and tried but had to stop when I smelt the now familiar smell of a burning starter motor!!
One of the girls I work with came over to see if I was ok, which of course I wasn't. I asked Her if she would record what I was doing for me under the pretence of wishing to later upload the video to my YouTube channel (I don't even have a YouTube channel!) I told Her it was a regular problem that the garage had failed to remedy (all true) and I was going to post the video to see if anyone could guide me as to what might be wrong. I asked Her to video my feet in case it was me doing something wrong, and I also had Her video the engine as I tried to start it. This is a new thing for Me but I have seen other studios doing similar things so I thought I would also give it a go! And I have to say, the engine wobbles around a lot; is this normal?? I can't say I've ever looked at an engine whilst it tries to start!
I'm trying to use more dialogue in my videos so You will hear me gently pleading with it to start, all of which my colleague took to be completely natural under the circumstances; she thought nothing of recording it for Me. She isn't the brightest spark in all fairness; I think I can get away with saying the on here!
In the end I waited 2 hours for recovery as I REALLY didn't want to ruin another starter. I was wearing a quite pretty dress and nude tights, my usual office attire. I had actually kicked off my shoes as they were hurting me like hell by the end of the day, so the entire video shows My feet in nylon.
