As promised, here is my second update for this week. I have been away for a couple of days hence the delay!

Every so often though it catches me out and lets me down; this was one of those occasions. I had arranged to see an important business client on Saturday (and for that reason took Friday of this week off....who doesn't like a long weekend?) I had left nothing to chance (or so I thought) and had ...

As promised, here is my second update for this week. I have been away for a couple of days hence the delay!

This happened last Saturday the 13th October...unlucky for some (Me). As You guys will now know, if my Ford is left for a couple of days it won't start and this is fairly predictable. Every so often though it catches me out and lets me down; this was one of those occasions. I had arranged to see an important business client on Saturday (and for that reason took Friday of this week off....who doesn't like a long weekend?) I had left nothing to chance (or so I thought) and had taken the car out for a largely unnecessary run the day before to make sure it started ok the following day. I had sorted childcare and picked a striking attire for the day; a black pencil skirt and black blouse complemented with blue tights, matching blue coat and black peep-toe shoes. I was ready to do business!

I went to leave after 7am. As I have previously mentioned I now have a camera in the footwell underneath my seat which responds to sound and motion, so this had started running as I closed the back door. I however completely forgot about it so my reactions are more genuine than they usually are.

It wouldn't start. It didn't even try. Again and again I tried, and it was after around six minutes I decided to mount a camera on the shoulder of the passenger seat to at least make something of the situation. The first 6 minutes are therefore from the footwell camera and there is then a little overlap between that and the second camera, which in the main caught the battery going flat. My car makes some really frustrating and odd noises when the battery flattens!

I got there in the end...late...with some help from a lift! Fortunately my client has also experienced car problems so she was sympathetic. I'm fairly sure had any of you guys overheard the conversation you'd have become excited!! Two girls in professional dress talking about their experiences of breakdowns!
