She struggles along wishing there was a better way to get around on two rather than one leg. It exhausting and after a time she must rest. First she props her leg up on a rail to wiggle and curl her pretty exposed toes (worms eye view) and give her leg some relief, but it's not enough and she soon has to sit down. She calls her friend to discuss her difficulties and her friend thinks she has a solution. As Jozephine waits, her friend comes to the park carrying an old cast shoe she had to wear previously due to an accident. It's kind of dirty and open in the front providing no protection for Jozephines vulnerable cold toes, which everyone can still gawk at as well. However, it's better than nothing if she can get rid of her crutches and walk on two legs again! Her friend pulls out a camera to take some shots of her first steps in literally weeks as Jozephine acclimates herself to walking again. Even if it means dragging her stiff casted leg along. Her friend holds on to her arm and also her crutches as they climb the stairs and make their way to a coffee shop while Jozephine continues to get used to walking on her casted leg and new mismatched shoe.
