Constance has captured a bail jumper and is taking him back to New York. She has been driving all day and is planning to overnight at a remote staging house. When she unlocks her prisoner's handcuff, however, he overpowers her and drags her from the vehicle. He secures her wrists behind her back with the handcuffs, then retrieves duct tape from Constance's vehicle to gag her.
