After you and your partner grow comfortable with mirroring, and hopefully have a bit more insight into how the other moves, a great exercise is echoing. Instead of trying to move in exact unison (or, at the same time) as your partner, here the follower will aim to allow them to finish a movement done by the leader and then copy it.
