(English) Casey is in the ICU with massive cardiac failure. She is hooked up to a 5 lead heart monitor with with nasal cannula, IV and catheter inserted. Suddenly her heart arrhythmia starts again and her heart goes into full cardiac arrest. The medical team rushes in checks her vitals and starts CPR. They perform dramatic deep, strong chest compressions and begin ambu bagging, the med team switch places for CPR. Suddenly her heart arrhythmia starts again and her heart goes into full cardiac arrest. The medical team rushes in checks her vitals and starts CPR. They perform dramatic deep, strong chest compressions and begin ambu bagging, the med team switch places for CPR. The defibrillator is charged and following a few rounds of shock and cycles of CPR the patient's pulse returns. However it is very weak, and about a minute later her heart flat lines again. The med team continues the dramatic resus. Casey’s pulse returns but she flat lines again a few times. The med team intubates her, places AED pads onto her chest and preps the Lucas Thumper CPR machine. When it is ready they turn the machine on and let it performs the CPR on the patient. Following a few cycles they pause the machine and defib her heart but with no response. Following a few more cycles of Lucas CPR and defibs the patient’s pulse returns.
