Again, another recording from late last year when my Ford was regularly leaving Me stranded. Again, another recording from late last year when my Ford was regularly leaving Me stranded. On this occasion I was out for the evening wearing a lacy black dress (this has featured previously) with vintage sheer brown reinforced heel and toe stockings and black peep toe heels. (I'm something of a fan of vintage hosiery and will often buy old tights and stockings from a certain online auction site!) It was a night reminiscent of some of the recent British weather; rain and wind so strong it was making the car rock. I was parked on a car park in my local town underneath a tree (you can hear big raindrops dropping from the tree and hitting the car roof during the course of the video)

It was mid-evening when I decided to head home, primarily due to the weather. The car park is in the town centre but its for a shopping arcade which by that point in the evening was closed. The weather also saw to it that there were not many people around and those that were didn't loiter!

My Ford started and stalled again 3 times before I set up a camera and tripod to try again. It did this twice more....and that was it. What ensued was 13 odd minutes of rising panic as I tried again and again to start the engine with no success, the battery slowly beginning to give up from around 2/3rds of the way through the video. I recorded what happened from 5 different perspectives; two from the passenger seat with the tripod set at two different heights, one from the headrest of the driving seat looking down at my lap, one looking down into the footwell (I kept catching the camera with my left leg on this one) and finally from the back of the footwell providing a close-up of my reinforced hosiery. I also swapped my footwear for a brand new (and as yet unseen on my studio) gorgeous pair of gold strappy sandals. It was whilst wearing these that the battery finally gave up and my panic at this point is real and tangible because with the weather such as it was I had few options. In the end I called the AA who (not for the first time!) had to rescue Me. Poor guys' eyes nearly popped out when I got out of my car, bless him!! Think I might have "accidentally" flashed my stocking tops!
